Plymouth's only professional football team
Plymouth Argyle F.C play their home games at Home Park, known as The Theatre of Greens, since 1901. The team compete in The Championship, the second tier of the English Football League.
The club has the nickname of "The Pilgrims", after the religious group that left Plymouth for the New World in 1620. The club crest even features the Mayflower, the name of the ship that arrived in Massachusetts. The team play in green and white.
Home Park is also a live music venue. Previous stars to grace the stage have been Rod Steward, Elton John, Paloma Faith and Meatloaf. In 2023, you can see Muse, The Dolly Show and other tribute acts.

Fishbone Restaurant is ideal to fuel up before the event. The team serves breakfast, brunch, lunch, evening a-la-carte or traditional roasts on Sunday. A homemade Afternoon Tea is served daily between 1pm-5pm or our set menu offers 3 courses for £25 daily between 4pm-7pm.
A large selection of drinks is also available, including popular local brands. You'll be spoilt for choice on our drinks menu, which offers well-known brands and famous local producers. Our local drink selection includes local ales and Plymouth gin. An extensive gin and mixer menu is also available and 2 for £15 cocktails.
Room service is available 24 hours a day.
Plymouth FC is a 10-minute drive or taxi ride from Future Inn Plymouth. Outland Road Car Park, adjacent to Home Park, is a large free car park including on match days. It does fill up quickly, so early arrival is recommended.
It takes 15 minutes to get to Plymouth F.C by bus. These include the 101, 103 and 34 from outside the hotel on William Prance Road.
It takes 15 minutes to cycle to Plymouth Argyle FC. Future Inn Plymouth is a cycle-friendly hotel, and we allow guests to keep bikes in your room with cycle mats supplied.
It would take around 45 minutes to walk via Tavistock Road from the hotel.
