If the thought of basting turkeys and boiling sprouts is not for you, then stepping out for Christmas Day Lunch in Bristol is a must to enjoy the festivities.
The days may be colder, darker and shorter but the streets of Bristol shimmer with fairy lights and a touch of Christmas magic. The Bristol Christmas Markets are the perfect way to get you ready for the festive season, with gift ideas, warm mulled wine and you can even meet Santa in his grotto.
There are so many things to do in Bristol this Christmas! You can watch Christmas fairy tales being brought to life in one of the historic theatres, catch this year’s panto (oh, yes you can!), or even glide across the ice at the winter fayre in Millennium Square.
If you are looking for something a bit more traditional, the magnificent Bristol Cathedral will be having an intimate candlelight carol service or a Victorian Christmas at Tyntesfield who will be turning the clock back and showing off the seasons best-loved traditions. Those who are feeling a bit more active can join thousands of ‘Father Christmases’ who will be running 2 kilometres in aid of the South West Children’s Hospice.
