Using the electric car charging stations at Future Inn Cardiff

The electric car charging points are for Future Inns hotel customers. Plus, free parking for the duration of your stay. Whilst you recharge at the hotel, your car can get its energy back outside. There are two charging posts with the ability to charge four vehicles. 

To access the hotel's electric charging points, guests are asked to come to Reception to get an activation card. The charge will be added to your bedroom bill.

To activate the hotel's electric car charging station, plug the power cable into the vehicle and then hold the card on the reader until activated. Once the charge is complete, the card again needs to be held to the reader to deactivate. The cable can then be removed.

Most of our guests can access the charger almost immediately. Still, there could be a little delay at our busiest times, such as weekend afternoons and weekday evenings.

The electric car charging points are available for Future Inns customers. A £10 charge (for 6 hours) will be added to your bedroom bill. The activation card is to be returned to Reception.

Can I leave my car charging overnight?

We strongly advise that you do not keep your EV car charging overnight. Overcharging could lead to long-term damage to your vehicle.

Can I reserve an EV charge point for my whole stay?

We are unable to reserve car parking spaces. Once you have charged your car, please move it so other guests can easily access the hotels electric charging stations.
